finished watching two movies today.
'8 femme', a story about a murder in a house. the suspects are all women, and each has her own secrets. there is constantly twists and turns, and the ending is unexpected. the movie is a mini-musical, with a song by each female character. quite a fun show to watch.

'before sunset'. the sequel to 'before sunrise'. both movies are actually very simply made and follows the male and female lead as they walk and talk through the city. but the way and content they talk about 轻轻扣住我的心弦. both were such romantic films, making one wonder about passion and love and the attitude towards life. i would say they're a must-watch!

a bit stunned that i am leaving for hongkong in less than a week. haha but it will be good to get out for a while before returning to the worries of my mundane life

i'm kind of flustered right now. cause there's a mess in my room, created by travel brochures, birthday presents and toiletries. more than one to-do lists are stuck on my wall, and my thoughts are everywhere. i think i'm really bound to snap at some unfortunate being soon. and there is a high chance its going to be my mum, even though i know she is concerned in the best possible way.

i have two huge pimples on my nose which is irritating me, and for some reason my miracle pimple cream doesnt work on them. is it due to hormones? then would my damn period please come quickly so that i can lose some of these restlessness.

or maybe i'll do better tomorrow. i probably just need some time alone to sort out my stuff and clear my head about what i still need to do, and also get some things done.

the past week has been wonderful, in simple ways. and now my laptop has been upgraded to being faster and cleaner. results were moderately ok, but not enough to level up. but i shall try to calm down and take it slow. nothing i can do about being jobless.

haiz. sort of a wasted day today. boo. though it is always nice to see the 2b guys.

shall continue slacking, and watching my hk drama. peace.

yesterday was a busy day. met gen for lunch at manpuku, and shopped around tampines one. then i met hong, and we went manpuku again, to discuss some stuff about hongkong. and we walked tampines mall and tampines one. then i met evan for dinner, and we walked the pasar malam. hahaha

so i was damn tired and my legs were sore. but i had a nice time catching up with old friends, and just seeeing them again after so long. too bad i left my camera at home!

as for today, hmm. comparatively, i did nothing much. hahaha just went to spend time with my boyfriend, who laments that he will not see me for a long time soon. hahhaa and the rest i was hoping for tomorrow is now gone. cause of some things that make me sigh.

finally went for facial after 2-3 months! and auntie helped me burst an oil bubble near my eye. wah, cant describe the pain, tears just flowed.

everyone has their opinions. but as friends, you should consider that other people are also entitled to their opinions. and that some things should not be said to hurt.

just started watching 铁咀银牙，after having it with me for 2 months. lol

the surest way to induce fear is to take a look at your depleting bank account balance, and then realise you are not any closer to landing a job.

sending the photos were a bit of a nightmare. we had like 12 zip files in all. haha gosh. remind me not to take photos in 8M again.

and now i shall attempt to backup my photos. cos they're really a lot! very busy, stressed out too. hahaha maybe shall post them online to web albums..

and these two days, there's some behaviour that makes me want to shake my head in disbelief and exasperation, like how come i know these kind of people? unpunctuality is already something that i've made a very clear stand on the last time round. i dont care if i seemed to have made a mountain out of a trivial thing, but i believe being on time or within reasonable limits of being late is only basic respect. if you cant do this, then i will take it that the people or event is not important enough for you to pay this basic amount of attention. hence please dont expect me to hold you in high regard.

canceling at last minute, with no concern about whether the event can continue is just so typical of you. all the more i hoped for it to proceed without you, just to show that your selfishness is of no matter to us. you seemed just to have blatantly assumed the importance of your appearance, which thoroughly ticked us off till we couldnt be bothered to even say hi when you appeared. honestly, i was counting on you not even appearing. and then i heard that story, it only made you rank even lower in my book. you could have ordered your own, or you could have honourably offered to split the amount evenly. yet you did none, your offer was not even sincere, as shown by the paltry sum. maybe you learnt this from your very good friend, whose attitude towards money i've also experienced before. i believe that guys shouldnt be so calculating, it only makes you look so petty.

i hate people who 摸. as in they spend hours doing god-knows-what, and end up making people wait. you could start preparing earlier, or skip some not very necessary steps. what's more, your attitude was such that you expected people to wait for you, even though the time was already agreed on much earlier. it wasnt the first time you said you'll think about it. and frankly, it wouldnt be a surprise if you really did not show. we have all heard that tone before, and it would have pissed just about anyone off. you cant have things your way all the time, and acting like a petulant child is not going to get you anywhere. there are some things that arent mentioned cause it does not sound nice, but as time goes by, it seems to be getting worse. comparing yourself to what others have is bound to result in dissatisfaction, and perhaps it should be used as a chance to reflect upon your efforts.

on another note, i've lots to learn about giving and taking too. to not dwell on the two hours i did not participate in, but the 6 hours i had fun.

stood for 2 hours to present my FYP poster. and finally i've no more school related assignments. now if only those people i talked to would give me a job, wouldn't it be nice?

went sentosa to play volleyball. but the sun was so damn scorching hot, walking on the sand barefooted was just unbearable. and so, i didn't get much exercise, but some slight dehydration, tanning, and a massive headache. haha

an interview does not really mean anything these days. so i'm not really expecting much. just try and see how. i guess luck has to play a part somewhere too.

spent the afternoon planning parts of the hongkong itinerary with hong. hopefully we can all get to go. at least its a sure thing that we can all look forward to.

went back to school for 15 minutes today, just to collect our poster for the presentation this friday. and since we were already so far out in the west, we decided to go bowling at Bukit Batok HomeTeam NS clubhouse. I forgot to take photos, but that's probably for the best, as we played quite lousily. lol.

and then it was off to boat quay for dinner! there were so many people trying to lure you into their restaurant, shaking your head continuously would have caused extreme dizzyness.

the place for our dinner was Dallas Restaurant & Bar. the photo below actually captured a tiny lizard on the signboard. lol


we chose the indoor seating cause we wanted aircon. (obviously! haha)
and the setting was quite nice.

there was also a nice view out the window.

our starter- the dallas platter for 4, which includes dallas wings, breaded mushrooms with cheese, and chicken & cheese quesedillas, which was something like prata. haha the platter was nice! and there were 3 sauces, one for each food. but we all didn't touch the avocado one.

i ordered the southern burger, which was a beef patty and bacon burger.

it was actually rather huge. see photo below. i had to squeeze it flat to fit into my mouth!

and this was the reason we came to dallas- the baby back ribs!

good news was that ribs are half price on mondays! see, he's so happy!

sharon had the beer battered fish n chips, while her boyfriend guojun also had the baby back ribs. their photos are in their camera, so maybe you'll never see them. hahaha

and finally, cause we were too full, we took a walk around the area. and i ended up taking some tourist-y photos. hahha but it's nice to enjoy the scenery once in a while.

had a great day on thursday night celebrating ty's 23rd bday. been so long since we last met. especially for shell- 6 months! too bad we couldn't have full attendance, but well, good luck weeinn for your remaining papers! we will try to meet up again before you start work, and before ty flies off to france.

went to try brewerkz at riverside point. all of them ordered pasta, but i ordered a sandwich that came looking like a taco. haha the food wasn't bad, but not exactly memorable. the beers there were not bad too. tried two of their draft selections, the golden ale and india pale ale. the consensus was that the india pale ale was nicer, so i think the popularity of the golden ale is cause its not too strong.

but among all, i like my little creatures pale ale the most! it came in a bottle, and was very rich and fragrant!


took some photos before we left brewerkz, and on the bridge as well. haha then hong n i had to leave, but the 4 of them continued on to fashion bar for yinjie to eat something. lol that pig!
